Public speaking at your event for fun and profit (your fun and my profit).

I am available to be a part of your conference’s faculty in the future – I have extensive experience as a keynoter, workshop and retreat facilitator, and discussion panel member, on topics ranging from non-profit organization management to for-profit corporation strategic planning, as well as more personal topics such as writing books (why you should, and how they can pay off for you), as well as publishing and – especially, proven secrets for promoting your books to maximize profitability.

I also offer a program on how to win political campaigns, whether as a candidate for election, or as an advocate for an important cause.

In addition, since I re-started my literary agency, I also offer a program for writers who want to know two things:

  1. How can I find a literary agent? And …
  2. How can I get published without a literary agent (by being my own agent)?

To provide some background, I’ve taught writing and speaking at UNLV, the College of Southern Nevada (where, a few years back, I taught a course on Writing for Star Trek), as well as at two other universities and colleges in the Deep South. In addition, I’ve written 25 royalty-published books (half of them as a ghost-writer for other, named authors), plus three published SF novels (one under my late wife’s pen-name, but now available on Kindle under my own name).

However, for me, writing is more than just words on paper.  Writing my first (never published) book actually helped me beat alcoholism, and writing other books has helped me get through the death of my son and the subsequent suicide of his mother/my wife – so I see writing books as more than a literary endeavor. But I have also used my books to help me attract remarkably profitable clients, gain favorable mainstream news media coverage and secure profitable speaking gigs. In fact, the use of books to attract clients, speaking opps and the news media are, in fact, the topics of my forthcoming book, Write Now!, which is in the final-draft editing stage.
